Christine was born and raised in France. She traveled the world with her husband and three children before settling down in Newport News in 1998. She’s an avid runner, traveler, writer and a trained multilingual translator. She is a freelance interpreter for the Virginia Court system.

When Christine stepped into her first yoga class in 2006, she knew she’d found what had been missing from her life, and wanted to share the joys and benefits of this amazing practice. In 2008, she completed her first certification through Yoga-Fit. In 2010, she became a RYT-200 through the Integral Yoga program inspired by Swami Satchidananda. In 2011, she graduated from Rolf Gates’ 500-hour Advanced Vinyasa Training. She is an active experienced teacher in her community and her journey came full circle when she started training and mentoring teachers with Zenya Yoga Academy in 2011. She is also a devoted meditator and a member of a local Buddhist temple.

Yoga is her gift to her community. She wants to make this transforming practice available to all and created her Yoga Fundamentals and Chair Yoga classes to insure yoga was accessible to everyone. She loves the balance of Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, her two favorite yoga styles. Her classes provide a safe caring relaxing environment, as well as a mindful rejuvenating practice that allow her students to live their best lives on and off the mat.

She believes in a healthy, balanced, compassionate lifestyle: live consciously, feed your spirit, take the time to be still and enjoy the moment, be generous in your words and actions, don’t take yourself too seriously, always have a dream and, when you reach your dream, get another one. This is the key to true happiness.
